Following the illuminate talk in July exploring the climate crisis, what this means for the world and how we can mitigate future shocks for a safer future for us all – students from illuminate 2022 were invited to take part in a multi-media competition examining climate themes. After reviewing the many submissions, in different formats including short essays, video blogs and art pieces, we are pleased to announce this year’s winners at a special prize-giving ceremony.

The evening will bring together students, parents, teachers and friends of illuminate to showcase the students outstanding work and provide an opportunity to meet, learn and network. The programme will also include presentations from the Aga Khan Foundation and the illuminate alumni network, and musical performances from the Ismaili Community Ensemble. illuminate is an exciting programme that offers aspiring students’ insight into transformational ideas that are shaping the developing world today. Students participate in a lecture event and subsequently take part in a multi-media essay competition examining the development themes discussed.

Win or not, illuminate will help students discover powerful new ideas. Participation is completely free, students become part of the illuminate alumni network and are the first to be invited to exclusive events and hear all about AKF’s latest news.
